Strange things are happening, and people are dying.
The Yungling follows the enigmatic (and perhaps dangerously depressed) Roger Elephant as he attempts to live his somewhat deadening life. However, odd things are happening around Roger and they can't be ignored for long. Mysterious creatures, perhaps zombies from outer space, are raping minds and destroying lives.
The creatures mysterious attacks induce severe hallucinations in their victims. The doomed victims experience bizzare breaks with reality that literally melt their brains and internal organs.
With the help of Professor. Zellious Lumping Roger begins to unravel the mystery of the creatures. But what are the Professor's motives? Are they purely altruistic?
The Yungling contains both a compelling longer narrative thread and the opportunity to make several 'mini-movie' type scenarios when the zombies attack. This structure allows us to work with a wild variety of actors, settings, and props over time and still maintain a cohesive single story. The Yungling story allows us to utilize the proven Jibangus capacity for surreal imagery while still developing a more traditional plot and character development.
Over the years the script has taken many forms - from a collection of ideas and impressions to a verbal story (a campfire ghost story if you will) to handwritten notes, and various electronic docments. The current (and final) form of the script is now entirely online with a system that allows editing multiple revisions, global access, lively discussion, and alternate story suggestions. This is crucial for our success, as the many people helping with this project have easy access to the story and can collaborate online, the script is a living document. We are also now using the system for production notes - this flows naturally from locations and such being in the script.
